"I was struggling with how best to convey the FOILED AGAIN! exhibition’s selected theme until my answer came in a dream!
While sleeping, I was reminded that when I went to the 2022 Maple Leaf Festival parade
I saw this figure strolling and waving in what appeared to be a suit of foil. Inspired I snapped a series of photos.
Waking from my dream I chose a photo to translate into this animated painted image. Voilà!" ~ Alice Lynn

CRITERIA for JRAC ARTIST SUBMISSIONS
ART WORKS
- In keeping with artCentral's standard of excellence the Executive Director-Curator of artCentral is responsible for final acceptance and installation of all submitted art works.
- All submissions must be family friendly. No pornographic works will be considered.
- One art work may be submitted. A second submission will be considered depending on installation space available.
- The Director-Curator will not accept any "wet" art work. The artCentral Prepitor will not install any "wet" art work.
- All art works submitted must be created by JRAC Artists in the previous two years and never before displayed in an artCentral gallery exhibition.
- 2D art works submitted must be framed or gallery wrapped and wired for hanging.
- 3D art works displays, if available, will be supplied by artCentral.
- All JRAC Artists must submit a signed and dated Participation Agreement.
- Each artwork must be accompanied by a high quality photo image
- All images must be emailed to joplinrac@gmail.com by Wednesday, January 18, at 5pm.
- The Artist grants and artCentral reserves the right to photograph any exhibited art work for the purpose of documentation and/or reproduction at the discretion of the Director-Curator.
- With the template provided, THREE (3) ID LABELS shall be completed and two affixed on each art work:
- Affix 1 label top R Front, 1 label top R Back. A third label shall be submitted to the Director-Curator upon delivery.
- All art work exhibited shall be for sale, unless NFS approved by the Executive Director-Curator.
- For all sales made during an artCentral Exhibition or at Satellite Galleries, Exhibiting Artists receive 75% and artCentral receives 25%.
- The 75% and 25% distribution of sales income applies to all sales made as a result of Patrons attending an exhibition and ordering/commissioning art work (during an Exhibition and/or within thirty [30] days following an Exhibition).
- Exhibiting Artists recognize that artCentral is a tax exempt, non-profit organization and not an agent of or for the Artist. artCentral does not collect Sales Tax on any sales.
- Exhibiting Artists are responsible for all applicable taxes related to exhibition and sales.
- The Artists’ completed/signed W9 (if requested) will be submitted to artCentral’s accountant for income reporting purposes.
- artCentral and JRAC take the greatest possible care in handling all art work; however, artCentral and JRAC will not be held responsible for any damage or loss which might occur.
- Exhibiting Artists recognize artCentral and JRAC bear no insurable responsibility towards damaged or stolen art work.
- Exhibiting Artists should review personal Homeowners Insurance Policies for this coverage.
- All invoicing and receiving of payments for purchased art work is to be executed by artCentral.
- Artists will receive the 75% of sales within thirty (30) days of an Exhibition’s closing date and/or when payment is made in full by the Patrons.
- For any art left at artCentral after the close of an Exhibition, Exhibiting Artists will be charged Storage Fees of $5.00 per art work per day.
- Art work left after thirty (30) days becomes the property of artCentral and will be disposed at the discretionof the Director-Curator.
