artCENTRAL’S COVID-19 SAFETY PLAN
artCentral is committed to safety during this time of COVID-19. We are joining the Missouri Arts Council in certifying and pledging to adhere to a core level of safe practices.

artCentral will make all instructions and guidelines visible online at artcentralcarthage.org and onsite at any in-person event.
All artCentral volunteers will review current safety guidelines as presented by the CDC, Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, and the Jasper County Health Department.
artCentral has formed an Operations Committee to monitor current guidelines and to advise the Board of Directors on all planned events. The committee will be responsible for keeping this Safety Plan updated.
All programing will be accessible via virtual interface (i.e., Zoom, Facebook, artCentral website, et cetera).
ArtCentral’s Hyde House Gallery will be available virtually.

artCentral Operations

- Committee meetings
- Workshops for kids, teens, and adults
- Art competitions
- Fundraisers
- And any event when the option to gather virtually is possible
artCentral Staff and Volunteers will:
- Use disinfecting wipes to sanitize all door handles, light switches, bathroom fixtures, countertops and any other objects that are commonly touched.
- Place disinfecting wipes in convenient locations so that staff and volunteers have easy access for use.
- Place hand sanitizer throughout Hyde House for easy access for use. Additionally, the bathroom and kitchen sinks will have soap to wash hands.
- Ensure extra masks are available for use by visitors.
- Place a flyer on or by the front door that outlines actions being taken.
- Staff will monitor and open the front door for visitors when possible. Door handles will be disinfected upon the departure of visitors.
- All artwork for sale will be available to view and purchase online.
- Visitors will be encouraged to use contactless payment options: the use of cash will be discouraged.
- All visitors to Hyde House will review and follow safety procedures set by artCentral.
- All visitors will be provided a questionnaire asking the following questions:
- Have you had a fever, cough, or sore throat within the last two weeks?
- Have you been in contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 within the last two weeks?
- Have you traveled outside the local 4-state area within the last two weeks?
- All visitors will be asked to provide contact information for contact tracing purposes.
- artCentral will ask all visitors to utilize hand sanitizer when entering Hyde House
- All visitors will be asked to practice social distancing.
- All visitors will be asked to wear a mask covering the mouth and nose while viewing the art.
- A maximum of ten people will be allowed in the artCentral Gallery at any one time. This includes staff, artists, volunteers, and guests.
- Staff, Artists and Volunteers will self-screen before arriving at Hyde House.
- Staff, Artists and Volunteers will be asked the following questions:
- Have you had a fever, cough, or sore throat within the last two weeks?
- Have you been in contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 within the last two weeks?
- Have you traveled outside the local 4-state area within the last two weeks?
- Staff, Artists and Volunteers will be documented for contact tracing purposes.
- Staff, Artists and Volunteers will utilize hand wash and hand sanitizer stations when entering Hyde House, practice social distancing and will wear a mask covering the mouth and nose while at Hyde House
