THE ART OF GENEROSITY At artCentral we practice the art of generosity. In the realm of generosity, our current exhibiting artist, Andrew W. Batcheller, is a master practitioner. When Andrew gives, he doesn’t hold back. He invests himself fully each time he stands at his easel. When he shares with us, he gives without restraint. For two more weeks Andrew’s generously filling our Hyde House Galleries with his amazing oil |
The generosity of Schmidt Associates PC, underwriters for “This Swallowed Life”, brings the beautiful wealth of this Exhibition to artCentral for you.

At Andrew’s Opening Reception last Friday night, the spirit of generosity was present, fully embodied in dedicated artCentral members.
Our Reception Photographer, Kelly Heidlage, with her always poised presence, generously gave her entire evening to skillfully weaving among the guests as she snapped a plethora of perceptive photographs celebrating our elegant setting and the happy gallery visitors present.
Creating a thematic backdrop of organic, nesting naturalness, Cindy Chilton, our Impresario of Tabletops, provided armloads and a wreath of sticks; Andrew contributed an abundance of smooth speckled stones; and Jackie Boyer allowed me to borrow the lovely twig basket from her porch (a prized gift from Alex). Judy Goff brought white lace cloths from her chests of treasures and angel wing begonias, then filled assorted wooden platters and trays with delectables to be remembered—her colorful crudités, ham and cheese graced angel biscuits and salmon-filled wonton cups complemented by her famous lace cookies and sugar-dusted chocolate ones, too.
The creative generosity of Judy Goff is an ongoing source of tremendous support and inspiration for me, as we continue to open the doors of artCentral often and wide. Not only does Judy enlist volunteers to assist, she also designs the menus for our Openings, Events and Board Meetings then devotes many, many hours to gathering supplies and making delightful foods to be shared. When I mention a desire for blooms in our planter, Judy magically appears and sets in an array of artful annuals. Judy’s creativity, ease of collaboration and energy are amazing—her generosity of time and talent a true and valued gift for artCentral and for me. I’m daily grateful for her presence and her generous, giving ways.
Call today (417) 358-4404 to say you want to give, too. You’ll receive our most artful, generous gratitude!
