CLASS PROPOSALS
  • Submit class proposals for the number of days available to teach.
  • (i.e., 3 days available = at least 3 unique class proposals, more if you choose).
  • Each class proposal includes: Title, Brief Description, any Preferred Limits for class size/age range, images of projects and Materials List.
CLASS TITLES, LIMITS, DESCRIPTIONS, IMAGES OF PROJECTS
  • Class Titles: Descriptive, very brief, interesting, catchy and fun to capture the campers’ attention and sell your class ideas. Many parents and students actually go through a negotiating process over class selections, so give them some attractive choices. If you have tried-and-true classes and/or their variations that have been popular in the past (before last year), these are acceptable as replays.
  • Limits: Preferred class size/age range depending on level of challenge/tools used.
  • Class Description: Brief (100 words or less)  for each Class Proposal
  • Submit an image of proposed class project.
SAMPLES OF PROJECTS
  • Deliver samples of proposed class projects by June 26 before or at Teacher Materials/Equipment check in Pottery House.
MATERIALS/EQUIPMENT
  • A budget of approximately $50 per class is available based on a class of 10.
  • List all materials/equipment needed based on a per student ratio that assures adequate purchase of quantities.
  • Materials donations are always welcome!
  • Identify any equipment needed for each class, i.e., microwave, oven et cetera.
INTERNS/AIDES/SCHOLARSHIPS
  • Volunteer Interns and paid Aides are available, on a limited basis, if needed.
  • Some scholarships are available with teacher recommendations. On a greatest need basis, these are distributed 1 to 1: one scholarship may be received when one paid class is taken.
